Joseph "Chick" Brown, Sr.

Joseph E. Brown, Sr., affectionately known as "Chick" passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Joe was an avid baseball fan and proud 30 year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department. Chick was the beloved husband of 61 years to the love of his life, Tillie (nee Collins) and devoted father of Joseph, Jr., (the late Patti), Mary Ann Werner, and Patrick. He was the loving Poppy of Tara, Sean, Carol (Mitch), and Allison and doting Great Grand Poppy of Mallory, Andrew, Lauryn, and Grace. Joe is survived by his siblings: Theresa Vogt, Dolores Smith, the late Marge Bamberger, the late Anna Mae Smith, and the late Marie Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives, friends, and members of the Fraternal Order of Police are invited to his Viewing and Funeral, Thursday, May 26, 2022 from the Rogers Funeral Home, Inc., 1426-30 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, Pa 19147 from 8 AM to 10 AM followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 10:30 AM.
