Hempsey, William J., Jr. (Age 90) passed away on May 29, 2019. He was the Beloved husband of Sandra( nee Ketzes) and Devoted brother of Kathleen Kiem (Jerry). Bill was the loving uncle to nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers: Philip, Ray, Ralph (Mary), and Melvin (Madge). Bill was an avid photographer and a lover of vintage photography and history in general. He was a Ham radio operator and enjoyed conversation with people all over the world. He was one of the founding members of the Ham radio club on the USS Olympia. Bill and Sandy loved traveling. He was always there with and for his family, but his greatest passion was being with and caring for his wife, Sandy. He was also a honored and proud veteran of the Korean War. Bill will be sorely missed for his wit and sense of humor. Age was no deterrent to Bill! He was loved by all who knew him!! Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing and Funeral, Wednesday Evening, June 5, 2019 from the Rogers Funeral Home, Inc., 1426-30 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 from 6 PM to 8PM, followed by his religious services at 8PM.
